A collection of silk scarves created as part of a live brief for the Wordsworth Trust, titled "Cumbria: Past to Present".

 

Taking the everyday lives and traditions of Cumbrian locals as inspiration, with particular emphasis on the unique dialect and stories to be told, the collection features a combination of screen prints, polychromatic printing and hand dye effects.

 

With muted colours that mirror the Cumbrian landscape and weather and a rough, hand-drawn aesthetic within the imagery, these scarves are printed on matte and textured silks to create a unique, statement accessory.
